after this piece of ridiculousness, A.T.E. owned pitchfork right back with this hilarious and disastrous open letter. "pitchfork doesn't so much critique bands as critique a band's ability to match a certain indie rock aesthetic." THAT'S RIGHT, THEY WENT THERE!
i have a whole bunch of respect for mikel jollet because he had a beautiful story in one of my favorite issues of mcsweeney's. i just gained even more respect.
